Video description

This free, downloadable B-roll footage from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) is for use by news media and education organizations. This high-resolution video features clips of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s LEED Platinum Research Support Facility in Golden, Colorado, including shots of the building exterior’s east-west orientation and narrow building width that takes advantage of south-facing daylighting and thermal effects, the south-facing window hoods that allow daylighting while controlling glare and heat, and the on-site photovoltaic system that generates about 1.6 MW of power for the building’s use.
