Welcome to the horrible, terrible and ugly Kibera. Or is it really the beautiful, sweet and wonderful. TWOR author James risked life and limb to walk into the inferno. And what did he find? The weather was beautiful. The music amazing. And the people sweet.
Nothing is more upsetting about the Lonely Planet than their abject fear mongering. Kibera is a bad place, bad things to happen there. But the same is true of Paris, new york, London, Los Angeles etc.
